Toubkal Trek: 2 Days to the Summit (4,167m)
Fit hikers short on time who want the summit
The fastest realistic Toubkal trek: a day from Imlil up to the refuge, then a pre-dawn summit of Jbel Toubkal (4,167m), North Africa's highest peak. A real, mule-supported 2-day high-atlas trekking plan.
Trekkers who want acclimatisation and remote scenery
A five-day circuit of the Toubkal massif — crossing high passes and the remote Lac d'Ifni before summiting Jbel Toubkal (4,167m) properly acclimatised. The complete high-atlas trekking loop.
3 daysModerate — village-to-village walking, no summit
Atlas & Imlil Trek: 3 Days of Berber Villages
First-time trekkers and those wanting village immersion
A gentler three-day High Atlas trek from Imlil through Berber villages, walnut valleys and high pastures — no summit pressure, with a real taste of mountain life. Moderate high-atlas trekking near Toubkal.
6 daysChallenging — long days, altitude, river gorges
M'Goun Trek: 6 Days in the Central High Atlas
Experienced trekkers wanting remote wilderness
A six-day traverse of the remote M'Goun massif from the Aït Bougmez 'Happy Valley', summiting Jbel M'Goun (4,068m) and walking the great river gorges. Wild, crowd-free high-atlas trekking.
3 daysChallenging — winter mountaineering at altitude
Winter Toubkal Trek: 3 Days on Snow & Ice
Fit walkers ready to learn winter mountain skills
A three-day winter ascent of Jbel Toubkal (4,167m) on snow and ice with crampons and an ice axe, including a skills session at the refuge. Challenging winter high-atlas trekking, December to April.
4 daysModerate — valley and pass walking, no high summit
Aït Bougmez Valley Trek: 4 Days in the Happy Valley
Walkers wanting Berber village life over a summit
A gentler four-day Berber-village circuit in the green Aït Bougmez 'Happy Valley' of the central High Atlas — terraced fields, mud-brick villages, the Sidi Moussa granary hill and high pastures, with the option to look up at the M'Goun ridge. Moderate high-atlas trekking, no big summit.
4 daysStrenuous — high-altitude summit, a steep, rocky final climb
Jebel Sirwa Summit Trek: 4 Days on the Anti-Atlas Volcano (3,304m)
Fit trekkers wanting a quieter, crowd-free summit
A four-day summit trek to the top of Jebel Sirwa (Siroua) — the eroded volcanic massif of around 3,304m that links the High Atlas to the Anti-Atlas. From the saffron village of Taliouine up through almond terraces and high pastures to a mountain bivouac, then a strenuous summit day on the volcanic crown for huge panoramas across both ranges. A genuine high-altitude summit, distinct from the Toubkal and M'Goun routes.
4 daysModerate — village-to-village walking, no high summit
Berber Villages & Valleys Trek: 4 Days in the Ourika & Yagour
Walkers wanting Berber culture and villages over a summit
A gentler, lower-altitude four-day cultural trek east of Toubkal: from the Setti Fatma waterfalls up onto the broad Yagour plateau — famous for its prehistoric rock engravings and summer shepherd camps — then down through the Berber villages of the Imenane and Tacheddirt valleys. Village-to-village walking and mountain life, with no high summit. Moderate high-atlas trekking.
2 daysEasy to moderate — short walks, riverside cafés, big views; no summit
Ourika Valley & Oukaïmeden: An Easy 2-Day Atlas Short Break
Travellers wanting Atlas scenery and cool air without a serious trek
An easy, non-summit two-day Atlas short break from Marrakech: the green Ourika valley with the Setti Fatma waterfalls scramble and Berber villages on day one, then up to Oukaïmeden — Morocco's main ski resort in winter and a cool, quiet mountain village in summer — on day two. Frequently asked
Trek questions, answered.
Are these High Atlas treks private or group departures?
Every trek is 100% private — just you and the people you book with, your own guide and mule team. We do not pool trekkers. You keep your own pace from the Imlil trailhead to the summit and back.
Can I change the length or route of a trek?
Yes. Every itinerary here is a proven starting point. Add an acclimatisation day, combine the Imlil villages with a Toubkal summit, swap M'Goun for Sirwa — we re-quote within 24 hours and put the price in writing before any payment.
How much does a guided High Atlas trek cost?
Price depends on the route, the number of days, group size and season, so we quote each trek individually rather than publish a fixed figure. Send your dates and group size and you'll get a real, itemised quote within 24 hours.
When is the best season to trek?
April to October is the classic summer season for the Toubkal, M'Goun and Sirwa summits — long days, snow-free above 3,500m. November to April is winter mountaineering season, when Toubkal needs crampons, an ice axe and a winter-certified guide. We'll tell you honestly which window suits your route and fitness.
